Presentation Description

Security isn’t just for sys admins and physical infrastructure, developers need to keep an eye out for introducing security design flaws and vulnerabilities as well.   This presentation covers ten vulnerabilities to watch out for when writing web applications (and most of them apply to any type of software).  We’ll cover a few of the ways common technologies (like the user’s browser) get abused by attackers, and what we as application writers can do to stay safe.  We’ll also demonstrate each of the vulnerabilities to give some context for how the attack / defense works in the real world.
